IT'S A GIRL!!!!

The wife and I had the ultrasound today and it is now official, we are having another baby girl. Isley is due September 20th. Which as most of my readers know, is the 375th anniversary of the day Galileo Galilei was tried before the Inquisition for teaching that the Earth orbits the Sun.
At least I will never forget that date.

Cow Licks.....

What Is A Cowlick?

Cowlicks occur when hair forms a pivot that distributes the hair from a specific point around in all different directions.

On some heads the hair recedes at the temple hairline causing a type of erratic hair pattern.

Cowlicks are most often found in the crown area but they may also be found along the front of the hairline around the face and the nape areas.

Most people are born with their cowlicks. People that suffer hair from chemotherapy or other illness may be horrified to discover that a new cowlick pattern will emerge along with their regrowth of their hair.

No one is exempt from the dreaded cowlick. Lots of famous people have cowlicks. Famous super model Claudia Schiffer, is reported to have not one but two cowlicks at the front of her hairline.

I have two or three cow licks, and my daughter, Lily was born with a massive cow lick on the top of her head. About a week ago she woke up and the cow lick had fallen down, we were very distraught but the next day it was back. I think cow licks can really add character to a person. When Lily looses hers after her hair grows out I will always have this picture to look at to remind me of the days when she had hair just like her dads.

I FINALLY FELT IT!!

I finally felt my daughter kick this morning. For the past few months she has been moving around and Jenn "my wife" will tell me to feel. As soon as I go to touch her belly she will stop moving. This morning laying in bed a put my hand and head on her belly for a few moments and Bam!, right to the face. She kicked about five times. It was just about the coolest thing I have ever been witness to. She might be the first female NFL punter.
