My cousin Jimmy died on Tuesday and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Jimmy Wayne Idol Jr.
GREENSBORO —Jimmy Wayne Idol, Jr., 42, of Jamestown, N.C., died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Moses Cone Hospital. The funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at First Baptist Church in Greensboro. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Methodist Church Cemetery. Masonic Funeral Rites will take place at the cemetery. He was born on April 16, 1965, to Jimmy Wayne Idol, Sr. and Beatrice Idol Powers. Jimmy was a Christian who loved the Lord. He was a Mason and a member of Asheboro Lodge # 699, The Oasis Shriner and The Randolph County Shrine Club. Jimmy was employed at Matt Marshall for 20 years. He is survived by his wife Priscilla Idol of the home; one daughter, Kaylee Idol; one son, Alek Idol; mother and step-father ,Bea-Kay Powers and Rick of Greensboro; one sister, Chrissie Rider of Greensboro; one brother, Rick Powers, Jr. and wife, Christy of Gibsonville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Wayne Idol, Sr. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service.
