I'll Be Back...........

I know my fans have been missing me over the past few months, but I will be back soon. It has been a crazy few months. Being on the campaign trail with Obama was grueling. But now that we are assured at least 4 years of increasing government intervention I have some time to relax....

I OWN GOOGLE.....

I bought my first stock today. It was a shining moment in my life. I am calling my new stock Luanda. Luanda and I have spent alot of time together over the years. She is always there to help me find what I am looking for. Her ability deliver messages and record my thoughts and ideas is unprecedented. I have never met anyone so good at geography, or keeping my schedule up to date. Would you believe she also keeps and edits my photos for me.

Luanda is a one of a kind. I love her so much.

VOTING IN THE PRIMARIES....

This morning I left the house at 6:15. Polls opened at 6:30 and I had to be at work by 7:30. There was no line, I was there 15 minutes tops. No complaints right? No I have complaints.

This was the first primary that I have ever voted in. I could have voted in two others but I just didn't care at the time. I did have a few issues with the process and in general.

*They didn't require my ID.
When grandma finally found my name (5 minutes) she
pointed right at it and asked what my address was. I
personally can't think of a more sure fire way to verify
my claim to be myself then asking me my address while
pointing at it. Any Tom, Dick, or even Harriet could vote
with my name by simply being able to read English. If my
address were in Spanish that would open up another can
of worms.(I know my address would be the same in Spanish)

*You have to vote straight ticket.
Now this in no way pertained to me but....Lets say there was a viable third party candidate running for President. If I wanted to vote for him or her(probably not a her) then I would be unable to vote for any other offices. It would be President and Bond Referendums.
*What does my religion have to do with it?
I am registered Unaffiliated or UNA. This was highlighted so that they would know to ask me which party I am voting for. "None of your frigging business" I said, no not really. When grandma read the UNA she said "I'm sorry I need to ask someone about this" what I said. You are a Unitarian, no I'm Baptist but I am registered Unaffiliated.

*All the volunteers could have voted for Truman.
I have no real point here.

PET PEEVES: COMIC BOOK EDITION....

Let me preface this by telling you that I am not, I repeat, not a comic book reader. I never have been and I never will be. On the other hand I am a big fan of movies and an even bigger fan of movies that are based on comic books. That being said, I have noticed something that "kinda sorta" irritates me.

When Peter Parker obtained "spidey" powers he worked and worked to get those powers under control. He fell of buildings, he broke a lamp and he couldn't keep paper from sticking to his hands.

Two movies later.....In walks or should I say slithers some space goop to conveniently turn our hero into a less colorful Spiderman. A rival photographer gets ahold of it and instantly has all the abilities that took Peter 41 minutes (approximately 4 months) of the movie to figure out. Why did Eddie Brock learn so quickly?

In the Spiderman franchise it appears that all of the villains are able to learn and use there new found powers many times faster than Peter was. Though I think some may argue that Dr. Otto Octavius was under the control of the arms but they would be wrong.

If I had super powers bestowed upon me I would imagine it would take alot of trial and error to figure everything out. I still haven't figured out everything my new car stereo does and there is nothing super about it.

Anything stated as fact was most likely made up.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

The wife and I had the ultrasound today and it is now official, we are having another baby girl. Isley is due September 20th. Which as most of my readers know, is the 375th anniversary of the day Galileo Galilei was tried before the Inquisition for teaching that the Earth orbits the Sun.
At least I will never forget that date.
